Lousy blogger deleted a post I had made the other day. Long story short, my flight to Porto was cancelled because of sudden strike in France and the setback cost me 100 bucks in transportation costs to and from the airport alone. I have been in Portugal now since Friday. It is okay.... not spectacular but not terrible. Tomorrow I will be travelling to Lisbon and after a couple more days, I will finally go to France.

The desserts in this country are quite nice. Unfortunately, the same can´t be said for the rest of the food. The eating times and diet that I have been eating is retardidly unhealthy. I don´t mind the odd sausage now and then, but I really can´t handle excessive amounts. I also haven´t done any physical exercise whatsoever since being here, so it´s all a little foreign to me. I look forward to settling in France and (hopefully) resuming some sort of exercise routine.

And also, my cd player broke.... but good news. I bought a book the other day for some casual reading. I was looking for a simple mystery/thriller for the long bus ride to Montpellier when I stumbled across "The Da Vinci Code." I know many people have already said so, but wow, what a phenomenal book. I read it in three days, I just couldn´t help myself. Brilliantly researched and written - a truly great escapist novel. I haven´t read anything for the sake of entertainment in a long while and it felt great. Only downside is now I´ll have to find another book to entertain me on the bus.
