I finally met some people at the school who are about my age. Been having a lot of fun, only problem is that they never want to speak in French, so we always speak in English. Yah, I know it's terrible but it's a lot more fun than only staying at home and speaking French. At least I've still got class and my homestay family for that. Ironic thing is that with the other English students, I never speak English. Go figure. But I'm going to be really busy this week, spending yet more of money, which continues to run out. I envy nearly every other student here who actually has the reassurance that someone will help them if they go broke prematurely.... sorry, I couldn't resist.

Also, I met this Mexican girl who is exactly like me in so much as she has a French parent who was not born in France, yet she has her French citizenship. My mom was always under the impression that this was not possible. Now, I only pray that she actually go through with what she said last month, and take care of things at the French consulate. Given the option I would prefer French citizenship to Portuguese. It's just as much a part of my heritage as Portuguese, and hell, at least I speak some of the language (albeit with a bastardized accent).

Oh but I better return now. The bus to my house runs every hour on sundays... the city is quite dead on this day.

Peace.
