Currently I am employing the Napoleonic Code of sleep patterns. I have never been a big fan of the nap before but it certainly has its positives, I'll tell you this much. A few things:

Insomniac Softball was a ton of fun. Our team was not as talented as last year but we managed to go undefeated. Unfortunately we didn't advance because the team we tied for first had a better run differential. Kind of an odd experience playing with a bunch of AUS'rs. I definitely felt old, but hey, at least Claude was on my team too, so I wasn't the only one. Speaking of which, Claude's defensive play is absolutely sick! The guy claims he sucks at baseball (not a great hitter) and then makes one of the most unbelievable catches to ensure the tie. Awesome.

I went to speak with my professor about an essay I was really disappointed with. There was a long line at his door (bit of a tough marker I suppose). Although I really was perplexed over the mark (and still consider it too low), I really do appreciate the time he puts into the class and the help he has offered. I will re-write the essay for a chance to attain a higher grade. Oddly enough, while we were talking he said to me, "I don't know if you are interested in becoming an Academic in the future, but you certainly could if you wanted to." I would just like to remind everyone that this same professor just handed my ass to me on this last paper, giving me a "C." Nice guy. Tough to figure out though.

So I'm going to continue plugging away at my papers now. I was in a pretty rough mood this afternoon (fatigue may have been a factor) but am now rather jubilant. Amazing how much things can change in such a short time.
